It takes brutal honesty with both yourself and with God in order to let Him do the deep work of change in your life.  Be honest. Change won’t come easy, but pride is killing more in you than you realize.  Stop missing out on the power of humility.  Your self-deceit is debilitating the power of God through your life.

Is the world trying to distract you with its stress, its hurt, its temporary shallow stuff?  Gaze instead somewhere else.  Gaze upon The King, this heavenly King, your King who is your friend.  Give him your attention, your look.  One day Jesus will return for us and take us home to live forever.  That's the gospel, it's worth being beaten, jailed, disliked.  It's the only thing worth living for.

Maybe you've been trying to help God see the benefits of your plan.  It makes great sense to you.  But you get the distinct impression that He's not buying what you're selling.  Be strenghtened in your faith today and simply relent your small ideas for His master plan. Just go with it.  Go with it because He is a God who makes a way when it seems there is none.
