01. Trojan
All tracks composed by TFHats, except track 04. composed by Yello and track 11. composed by Guillaume de la Croix
Tonight’s Audio in Distress is an Italo disco special. The heydays of Italo disco range from around 1983 until 1988. While the early artists and acts where influenced by the likes of Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Giorgio Moroder and disco music and still create an original sound, the later acts sound all alike and mostly like a Stock Aitken and Waterman production. And that, while SAW got their sound amongst others from Italo disco! Anyway, it’s electronic music, with lyrics in broken English and about cheesy subjects. Mind you, these tracks had a major influence on the house scene. I still like it and hope that you’ll enjoy it too.
01. Decadance – On and on (fears keep on)
Podcast 003 of Audio in Distress. I’ve mixed some remixes by a new guy called Guillaume (unfortunately I haven’t have a link to a website yet) with some electro and techno tracks by the likes of Afrika Bambaataa, Tanzkonsol, Orbital, Electribe 101 and myself. I’m not sure if it’s a first on dR, but I’ve also mixed in some Italo Disco tracks.
01. Yello – Stalakdrama (Guillaume remix)
Second show by Camiel Munier (aka Tin Foil Hats). Some moody electro and techno tracks that fit this first evening in spring. Thanks to Aurex and Tanzkonsol for providing their tracks.
01. Anthony Rother – Basic level
