Gus was talking with a love skeptic. That particular skeptic thinks love is just people pursuing their self interest. Gus is at first at a loss as to how to respond but comes around fairly shortly. Take 7 minutes or so to hear where Gus comes down on the question.

We are told that getting old transitions us into our Golden Years. Maybe all that happens is that we get old. That is what it is but may not be the life upgrade that "Golden" implies.

Most people who can't see, or perhaps have a different handicap, have been told that they are inspirational or maybe amazing. Is it true or is it magic? Let's talk about that.

You may think that I'm just whining about getting old, but that's not all of it. It's a supply and demand issue. Sure, it's economics. Don't judge without listening.

I was still obsessing about those discussions where an impasse is certain. You have your facts and I have mine and never the twain shall meet. That lead me to thinking about what is a fact and how do we deal with each other's facts? I must say that the conclusion surprised me some.
