There is a reason the word fear is mentioned over 500 times in the KJV yet the scripture most often quoted about fear is, 2 Timothy 1:7 - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Contrary to popular belief, Fear in and of itself is not sin. 

We’ve discovered that there are two types of fears: Pachad and Yirah.  

Paul warns Timothy against the spirit of fear because it is the spirit of fear that can cause us to shrink in the face of opposition, persecution, and struggles and Timothy was facing a lot of persecution in ministry. Today I want us to dig a little deeper on the topic of Fear. In this episode, we talk about the spirit of fear.
