When one bad thing happens, we can use it to fuel the rest of our day to continue to be a bad day. If traffic was awful and you were late to work, don't let that bad experience creep into other parts of your day. It can be easy to hold a grudge and let it weigh you down and then complain that things feel heavier.
The best way to stop feeling the weight is to change your perspective. Instead of complaining that you were stuck in traffic, say it gives you more time to listen to the podcast and learn something useful. Changing the perspective of the world conspiring against you to one that is helping you grow as a person is going to be much more helpful. Watch any movie, and there is some type of conflict that prevents the person from reaching their goals. So when something bad happens, you can use it as part of a story overcoming something, which would make you more relatable as a person.
If you hold on the bad five minutes and milk it all day, you're just going to isolate yourself. There is a stat out there that says 80% of folks don't care about your problems and 20% are glad it happened to you. It brings no solution to the table and changes nothing so if something bad happens only hold on to it for five minutes at most. After that, move on with your life so you can start living your life.
