This week we begin a new series taking a look at the life of Peter that Jon titles “Peter - From Simon the Rock”.
After an explanation of Simon’s (Peter') background, Jon reminds us that Simon saw himself as a sinful man while Jesus saw him as a fisher of men. It’s a reminder to us that sin often drowns out the voice that gives us purpose!
Jesus sees potential but we often get in the way of it coming to fruition. Know that God sees something in you! He believes in you and the potential He has given you. Jesus will invest in use because He desires to bring us to our best!
Scriptures: John 1:35-43, Matthew 4:18-22; 16:13-20, Luke 5:1-11, Acts 2:41
