He invested more time in setting it up and used it successfully for a couple of years.Last year, Martin wanted to try something new and switched to Todoist. He discuss the browser-based app and its features, comparing the user interface to other apps like Obsidian and Craft. He talk about the ability to create projects and subfolders, as well as the usefulness of tags for context. Martin also mentions the power of filters in Todoist but finds them somewhat cumbersome to set up.Martin shares his preference for relying on their calendar for tasks with specific deadlines rather than adding due dates to tasks in Todoist. He mention the task flags feature but advise against using it in accordance with the principles of Getting Things Done. He explain how he personally use flags in his morning routine to prioritize tasks for the day.While the Martin has some issues with Todoist, such as difficulty in setting up filters and a lack of a smooth email integration, he still recommend it to certain people as a versatile and affordable option. However, he recently made the decision to switch back to OmniFocus due to his dissatisfaction with Todoist's clarifying process and missed features such as the ability to set defer dates.Martin talks about his positive experience with OmniFocus, highlighting its simplicity and intuitive clarifying process. He mention the integration with his email client, Airmail, and the ability to hide tasks temporarily using defer dates.
