If you don't know who the sucker in the room is, you're the sucker. The reason you're the sucker in the room is because you don't have the knowledge to understand what is happening in the room. If this is the case, you need to learn human psychology, business principles, and a bunch of mental models. The more mental models you’re able to obtain and know how to use, the less likely you'll end up being the sucker. 

No more going to the dealership and paying more for something than you have to or getting bypassed for a promotion if you learn how not to be a sucker in a situation. If you are the sucker in the room and lose some money, just take it as a learning opportunity. We all lose money by being the sucker in the room at some point, the key thing is that you don't stay the sucker and that will come from learning and avoiding the mistake the next time around.
