On April 21-27, Aurora Police Department responded to a welfare check near central Aurora where an officer was stabbed. The suspect was fatally shot by police. The incident is under investigation.

On Tuesday, April 29, around 6:30 p.m., police investigated a fatal shooting in central Aurora near South Fairplay Street. An argument between two brothers escalated when the younger armed himself with a knife and the elder with a gun, resulting in the older brother allegedly shooting his sibling in his late 20s. The suspect in his 30s was arrested without incident. Investigation underway.

No other criminal incidents reported for the week of April 28-May 4.
