Listen Later

Australian skiers Matt Graham and Jakara Anthony secure double gold at FIS World Cup in Ruka, Finland, marking a stellar start to their Winter Olympic season. Anthony, the defending Olympic champion, and Graham, a 2018 Olympic silver medalist, each triumphed on the demanding Battery Course. This achievement is only the third time Australia has claimed gold in both mens and womens competitions at the same event, with Graham being part of all three historic double-gold moments. Anthonys win is particularly significant, as its her first World Cup gold in twelve months following a collarbone injury. Grahams victory is his first World Cup win since the 2022-2023 season, delivered with a superb run as the last skier to compete. The next World Cup moguls event is scheduled for January 9th in Val Saint-Come, Canada, after two planned events in Sweden and Georgia were canceled.
