Good afternoon. It's Monday, October 29th. I'm Elise Randall, and here's your local news from the Austin American-Statesman. Our top story is: Just under a week after a boil-water notice that sent Austin residents into an uncertain limbo that edged on panic before settling into mild irritation, Austin Water officials gave the green light to drink water straight from the tap yesterday afternoon. Customers no longer need to boil water before drinking it, cooking with it, or making ice from it.
