Our top story is: A Texas A&M University study found that Texas state parks are increasingly beneficial to the economies of their surrounding counties, attracting out-of-county visitors who spend money near the parks. In 2018, state park visitors spent $240 million on local goods and services. That’s up from $202 million in 2014, according to the report.
