Good afternoon. It’s Wednesday, May 23. I'm Kyle Sauerhoefer and here's your local news from the Austin American-Statesman. The family of Austin’s third bombing victim said today that Esperanza Herrera, who goes by Hope, is recovering after more than a dozen surgeries. Herrera was severely injured in March by the third package explosion linked to Austin bomber Mark Conditt. The 75-year-old is still hospitalized and fighting to recover, according to an online update from her family.
