Our top story is: After one of the most severe food shortages the organization has seen in at least five years, the Hays County Food Bank in San Marcos has seen an outpouring of donations in the past week. People have donated about 14,000 pounds of food. Thatâs nearly double the 8,300 pounds the organization usually receives in one month, a spokeswoman said.
