After 2021’s Winter Storm Uri and a citywide boil-water notice earlier this year, Austin Water fell under increased scrutiny and has since completed dozens of recommendations to improve Austin’s drinking water systems. In Williamson County, a recently passed $72.5 million allocation toward water infrastructure also aims to better meet the needs of water purveyors.
