Listen Later

Three Australian Navy personnel were on board the USS Minnesota when it sank the Iranian warship IRIS Dena off the coast of Sri Lanka, killing at least 87 sailors. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese broke protocol to confirm the Australian submariners' presence as part of AUKUS training, though he stated they did not participate in offensive action. Sri Lanka has offloaded crew from a second Iranian vessel while the United States promises further strikes.
