1. An authentic disciple recognizes that Jesus is both Savior and Lord.

2. An authentic disciple accepts and trusts God’s plan.
As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
