Happiness is something that virtually everyone wants, and yet it seems that most people in the world have difficulty getting it. After years of rampant consumerism, fueled by the powerful psychological effects of advertising, we have been conditioned to believe that if we want happiness, we must go out and get it. But it turns out that, while we may experience temporary pleasure by participating in various activities, authentic lasting happiness simply cannot be found outside of ourselves. We must do something much more challenging: get down to the truth of who we really are, and connect to the natural, authentic happiness that is already inside.
