Shane Pruitt, author of the new book (And Why God's Truth Is Infinitely Better), starts off the show. He's a father of five, including a little boy (Titus) adopted from Uganda at age six months. Shane & his wife had much to process when, after returning from Uganda, they learned of Titus' diagnosis of cerebral palsy & epilepsy. Part of their journey involved well-meaning Christians sharing phrases like "God won't give you more than you can handle" (where does it say that?!) and getting back to what God's Word actually says, finding freedom in Biblical truth.
Paul Bond with The Hollywood Reporter also calls in regarding the brand new movie "Unplanned." Released this past weekend, Unplanned tells the true story of Abby Johnson, once a star in the world of Planned Parenthood, and her becoming a pro-life activist. Bond has written numerous articles on the movie since it was announced many months ago. He shares insight into why the movie was given an "R" rating (a first for Pure Flix Entertainment, which was not pleased with the MPAA decision) and how almost every single record label / media group denied the makers of "Unplanned" licensing of music for the movie soundtrack.
