a few anxious moments in Lafayette Friday as Oregon state police responded to a report of a suicidal person in Lafayette.  Carlton and Oregon state Police responded

when law enforcement arrived, the man started walking towards them in the middle of the street.   The man had his hands hidden behind a black backpack.   Yamhill 

County sheriffs office also responded.   The man was hit with several rounds of a less than lethal bean bag gun.    Officers used their squad cars as cover and 

followed him down the street and were able to surround and Taze him, and take him into custody.  Arrested as 32 year old Matthew Michael Hunt of Newberg.
