Managers are responsible for getting things done. Those things that will contribute to the accomplishment of the organization's mission. The manager’s performance is measured by his/her ability to accomplish tasks through the efforts of others. These others are subordinates, peers, seniors and anyone else both inside and outside the organization you can convince to help. Managers utilizes three major managerial methods to carry out the mission: authority, power and politics.
