This week on Authors Tuesday, we’re joined by Irish animator, illustrator, and debut children’s author Eoin McLoughlin.

Eoin began his creative journey working in the animation industry, where he developed a strong passion for visual storytelling and character-driven adventures. Today, alongside his creative work, he hosts live dinosaur and fossil shows at Jurassic Newpark in the Newpark Hotel — bringing prehistoric worlds to life for audiences of all ages.

With interests ranging from military history and animation to travel and adventure, Eoin’s imagination is fuelled by big ideas and bold storytelling. Now, he’s turning that creativity toward writing.

Eoin’s first book, Max and Holly Go on Holiday, is an adventure-comedy about two clowns who set off on what should be a relaxing sailing holiday — but instead find themselves swept into a strange and unexpected adventure. Packed with humour, mishaps, and heart, the story reflects Eoin’s background in animation, with lively characters and cinematic storytelling.

Eoin hopes to continue writing more stories in the future — with the long-term dream of transforming his ideas into an animated series. Blending his experience in animation with his love of storytelling, he’s just getting started on what promises to be an exciting creative journey.
