When we listen more than we talk, I found that I've gained valuable insight. I have also gained a friend because that's what happens when you listen to someone, and they really, really believe that you are engaged in that you really want to hear what they have to say.

If you don’t pay the right person for the right job, are you throwing your money away? Or is there a better way to get the best good results? The key component is hiring the right person, company, employee to sit on the right seat in the bus that you're driving. Without that, it's like pulling people as opposed to them actually going ahead and doing the things that are require.

The Enron Corporation practiced deception and the results need to be remembered for every business person.  Check out what happened to them, it's not pretty.

One of my favorite stories of all time is from the NFL, Bill Walsh and the San Francisco 49ers. Bill Walsh came into a team that was 2 and 14, and really it wasn't anything to write home about. They were just a perennial loser and he took over and he changed the culture, right from the beginning.
