For the software-defined vehicle to become a reality, we need a centralized software layer - middleware - between the operating system and applications.  Middleware (e.g.,  AUTOSAR Adaptive or AUTOSAR Classic) will enable decision making and connectivity for more immersive, personalized features and capabilities.
