Worth Reading!
A sweet and tender tale set in a farming community in 1949. As the teacher at a one-room schoolhouse, Maggie boards with a local family. There's no indoor plumbing, but Maggie is used to that situation. What bothers her is Marshall's obvious distain for her. However, Maggie is not shy about asking questions and she intends to find out all she can about Marshall. An entertaining and heartwarming story well worth a read.
School Teacher
Maggie traveled by train to get to the city where she had a a new job. She was met by Marshall, the brother of Ellen, whose home she was to be living in for the school year. She would be teaching first through eighth grades. This is a short clean love story. I recommend it as good reading.
Kept interest up.
The story was interesting with several likable characters. A nice story of the early years and the way of living back then. The family and morals were of great importance. This is a nice read for any young lady.
A Young Teacher's Dream
Autumn Dreams was an entertaining story. I was thinking that I wish it had been longer, but on reflection I think it had all of the good story elements that satisfied with happy conclusion. It did leave me wondering about Stella though. What was she doing back in town? Another story? =)
Loved It!
This is another story from this author that I loved. It was very enjoyable following Maggie, a school teacher in a prairie school, and Marshall, the brother to the wife of the couple she is boarding with, on their rocky road to overcoming their past hurts and disappointments to finding their happily every after together. It is a sweet and delightful romance that I definitely recommend.
