On Saturday, September 26, 2026, thousands of Catholics from across the country will gather at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., for the 4th annual Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage, a full day of prayer, preaching, Eucharistic adoration, confessions, and devotion to Our Lady hosted by the Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph.

Fr. Joseph-Anthony Kress, O.P. is the spokesperson for the Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage. He attended Franciscan University of Steubenville and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy and Theology.

Gary Michuta’s Thursday evening Bible Study kicks off its 2026-27 year with a different type of study, one we have never done before - an in-depth study of Gary’s newest book, “MESSIAH, Old Testament Prophecies Fulfilled in Christ”. Published earlier this year by Emmaus Road, the book speaks to a subject many of Gary’s students have expressed interest in and have asked to examine in greater depth. It details the biblical evidence that reveals the identity of the Chosen One foretold since the very beginning.Gary stresses that it is not necessary to purchase the book. He will present the material chapter by chapter, with details and background from his own authorship experience. The class will continue to meet on its usual 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 7 PM in the Convent Living Room, beginning on Thursday, September 10th.

Fr. Steve Mattson is what is sometimes called a “revert” to the faith. He was raised in a faithful Catholic home, but his family left the Catholic Church after he graduated from high school. After nearly twenty years as an Evangelical Protestant, Fr. Steve returned to the Catholic faith, and later felt the call to the priesthood. He attended the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary in Illinois, and was ordained in 2005. Fr. Steve holds a Ph.D,. in Education from Michigan State University, and served as Superintendent of Schools and Chairperson of the Department of Education and Catechesis from 2009-2015.

In 2010, he published Maintenance to Mission: Transforming Our Catholic Schools, which helped focus school reform efforts in the Diocese of Lansing. He has been Pastor of the Church of the Resurrection since July 2012, and is passionate about helping Catholics (and others too) come to know Jesus in a personal way, and grow as disciples of Christ.

Venerable Fulton J. Sheen of the United States is set to be beatified on Thursday, September 24, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri. Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, will preside at the beatification Mass, representing Pope Leo XIV.

After his heroic virtue was recognized, Fulton Sheen was declared Venerable in 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI. In 2019, Pope Francis authorized a decree recognizing a miracle through his intercession. This recognition cleared Archbishop Sheen for beatification, after which he will have the title “Blessed.”

Fr. Dave Tomaszycki is the Pastor of St. Peter Catholic Church in Mount Clemens. He is also the editor and compiler of “On the Demonic,” using only the words of the Venerable Sheen.
