There are situations when you are not mentally prepared to handle any event. To act differently and wisely, you need a quick mental break before your response. You can never be a wise person if you don’t listen properly before you respond. Similarly, if you follow your emotions without balancing your response with facts and logic, the outcome will not be in your favour or at least not the best for you. A wise person always thinks of a big picture about overall goals and objectives rather than limiting his mind to the event only. Usually, a quick reaction comes when no other options are available in mind. Whereas the reality is that we always have choices. All we need is to consider them and the consequences they can bring, before moving forward. The goal should be to mentally move into the future and look back to your vision of your possible responses. This will make you choose the best response to the current situation.
Remember, you need to act differently. In order to act differently, you need to think before you act. For thinking about the big picture, your goals should be higher than the current event. Sometimes you need preparation to properly respond to an event. In that case, your vision should be clear in advance about the type of event you may be facing so that you can be fully prepared. Always ask yourself, am I reacting? This question will give you a quick mental break. Situations go worse with overreactions. You need to be mindful of that.
Once you are motivated to practice better response. The result of this practice will change the whole situation around you. Hope you will start practicing it. Thanks for listening. Stay tuned.
