Awaken Jerusalem given to those in #Jerusalem and to the returning captives. They had gone into #captivity for their #sins. But the #Lord #God brings them back and thus they are told to Awaken. Shake off the #captivity and trouble for the Lord has #redeemed his people as well as Jerusalem. As they were wrung out drank of the cup of the #Lordswrath to the full, redemption has sought out her sons and daughters.

Awaken Jerusalem Isaiah’s Prophetic Book Pt159 on Battle Lines
Awaken Jerusalem arrives with blessing, renewal, and hope as we come to part one hundred and fifty-nine of Isaiah’s Prophetic Book. While we have come a very long way with Isaiah, the most important portion of Isaiah is coming up. While we are not there yet, this portion today leads up to that section. Here the captives are told to Awaken, shake off the dust of captivity and look to the Lord their redeemer. His Arm of salvation and Spirit of comfort will nourish the captives back into the arms of Jehovah. That is, if they will return fully and with open hearts to the Lord. Now we know these captives are fully ready to return to the land. Desperation and loss give way to Hope.
