As we enter into this New Year, God is inviting us to awaken to the people in front of us, whether that be the person in our home or the person we encounter in the grocery story or the person in the next office. Jesus calls us to have mercy on everyone we come across just as he has had mercy on us. He’s inviting us to a new way of being in the world. A way of life where we RECOGNIZE the needs of the people around us and RESPOND with compassion.
