In this powerful Awakened 2 Purpose Quick Bite, Larissa Rhone asks guest Dorcas Pittman one simple question that opens the door to a much deeper conversation about trauma healing, familiar pain, faith, identity, and freedom.
Dorcas shares how she became comfortable navigating trauma because it was familiar. But when God revealed that she was called to more, she had to make the difficult decision to step beyond what felt comfortable and begin healing toward freedom.
For Dorcas, freedom feels like finally being able to breathe. It means no longer allowing shame, pride, pain, or past trauma to control her identity or prevent her from becoming the woman God created her to be.Healing does not always mean that every painful memory, trigger, or difficult day disappears.
Sometimes freedom means that what happened to you no longer gets to define you, silence you, or determine the direction of your life.
This episode is for survivors of childhood sexual trauma, chronic illness warriors, cycle-breakers, and anyone who knows they were created for more but has struggled to leave familiar patterns behind.
What are you choosing in this season: what feels comfortable, or what leads to freedom?
