It is fairy tale time, but with a twist!  The Huntsman from Snow White falls for an apple orchardist in “A Duchess a Day” by Charis Michaels, book one of the Awakened by a Kiss series!

Declan Shaw was wrongfully imprisoned when Snow White went missing on his watch.  He receives a get-out-of-jail card and money if he agrees to be the groom of the duke’s fiancée, makes sure she does not run away, and the marriage happens.

Lady Helena Lark wants to run away to her apple orchard.  She continues to figure out a way to get out of the five year engagement, even a madness phase did not work!  She notices her handsome groom who she thinks is a spy and she finds herself enlisting him for her get-out-of-engagement plan.

At a tea party, Helena makes Declan write down names of potential brides for the duke.  Declan knows who hired him, but he does not want Helena with the drunkard.  They set off to speak to each of the seven debutantes wishing to find her replacement.  However, when the remaining debutantes pounced on the duke at a party, Helena loses hope as the duke is unaffected by the other ladies.
