awakening the heart : khushu ♡

Listen Later

ALHAMDULILAH 🥹🥹🥹 please pray for me when you hear this, PLEASE.

Khushu’ is when the heart arrives before the body stands.

Du’a for khushu:

Allahumma arzuqnā khushūʿan fī ṣalātinā, wa nūrًا fī qulūbinā, wa ḥuḍūrًا maʿak fī kulli ʿibādah.

O Allah, grant us humility in our prayer, light in our hearts, and presence with You in every act of worship.

~

On ghaflah (heedlessness):

Ghaflah isn’t forgetting Allah, it’s remembering Him while the heart is elsewhere. The tongue moves, the body stands, but the soul is distracted.

A short reflection:

Ghaflah often sneaks in quietly. We still pray, still make dhikr, still say Alhamdulillah but our thoughts wander, our worries speak louder, and our hearts feel distant. It’s not rebellion; it’s neglect. And Allah, in His mercy 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂 keeps inviting us back.

Soft tips to move from ghaflah to khushu:

• Pause before worship. Even 10 seconds to breathe and say “Bismillah” or “Allahumma ḥaḍḍir qalbī” (O Allah, make my heart present).

• Lower the noise. Too much scrolling, rushing, and multitasking hardens presence. Khushu grows in quiet.

• Understand one line. Choose a single ayah or dhikr you understand deeply, let it anchor you.

• Speak to Allah honestly. Tell Him when you feel distracted. Presence begins with sincerity, not perfection.

• Consistency over intensity. Small, regular moments of mindful worship soften the heart over time.

Closing reminder:

Ghaflah is not the end it’s just a signal & every signal is an invitation to return ♡

Oh Allah forgive us, guide us and bless us.
