HEROES OF JUNE 12: E11
Ayo Obe joins us tonight on CovInspiration.
One of the leading light of the June 12 struggle is human rights activist, Ms Ayo Obe. While the struggle to actualise the June 12 mandate was on, Ayo Obe, who is a legal practitioner, chose to fight the battle from the home front instead of going on exile. She boldly faced live bullets from security operatives on several occasions and never gave up the struggle. She was also there to provide free legal services to those arrested by the military junta of Ibrahim Babangida and Sani Abacha. Ms. Obe was President of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO), Nigeria’s oldest indigenous human rights Organisation. Join us tonight on
