Coming from a militant working class family, her destiny couldn’t have gone any other way. She started working at the age of 16 and fought her entire life for the workers’ rights. At the age of 53 she became one of the most important Argentinian activists when she founded the movement Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo. Since 1977 they devote themselves to look for the “disappeared” during the last Argentinian dictatorship.
