On this week... It's an amazing time in Kpop. It's crazy to see the evolution in sound just in the last 4 years. I somehow stumbled upon that realization while putting this week's episode together.

We start off with some mellow RnB vibes with new stuff from Crush, Zion. T, and Colde. It's so normal to see true RnB tracks in the mainstream now which is awesome. Just as the Kpop scene has started to truly understand and embrace hip-hop, the same goes for it's RnB scene. Artists like the aforementioned three really capture the essence of that soulful sound whilst making it their own and to see that thrive in the pop scene is amazing.

There has also been a recent surge in Latin-inspired sounds. While this sound is not new to Kpop, songs in the past have often been corny or novel and seemed more like a caricaturization. Recently however, groups like BTS, KARD, and Super Junior are doing an exceptional job in capturing a more authentic Latin sound. That has evolved into actually making songs completely in Spanish or collaborating with proper Latin artists. It's amazing to see.
