Baby Bear Techno - Age of Love

Techno, progressive or something else? You be the judge.

A lot of tracks in this mix lean toward epic progressive, the kind I used to play back in the late 90s when labels like Platypus ruled the waves. But the sound is well and truly updated to 2017 production, so we get deep as hell sub bass, crisp kicks, massive bass lines and crystal clear symphonic top end.

The result is quite pretty but also very much up for it and sets a beautiful framework for Solomun's cracking remix of the benchmark of deep trance, Age of Love.

The impact this track had on electronic music cannot be underestimated and it's a brave producer who tries to remix it. But Solomun has done it justice.

Also check out the house percussion of Bastida, Onno and the irrepressible Len Faki which break up the prog sounds. Plenty of energy.
