Back 2 Roots

Billo Sama is an Italian-born, London-based DJ and promoter deeply rooted in the underground electronic music scene. With over 15 years behind the decks, his journey began through DIY free-party culture and self-organised events, where sound system energy, community, and raw expression shaped his artistic identity.

His musical selection moves fluidly across Hard Tekno, Tribe Tekno, Jungle / Drum & Bass, Breakbeat, Electro House, and Techno, always driven by high-impact rhythms, tribal tension and warehouse aesthetics. Known for his ability to read diverse crowds while maintaining a strong underground character, Billo Sama delivers sets that are both explosive and carefully controlled.

Since relocating to London in 2015, he has become an active force in the city’s alternative nightlife, performing regularly in clubs, warehouses, and festivals across the UK and Europe. Alongside DJing, he is also a committed promoter and event organizer and co-founder of the Bass Riderz and Oshem Project collectives, both focused on high-energy underground events and sound system culture.

Alongside his main identity, Billo Sama also developed a darker, more ritualistic techno side-project under the alias DJ Kaeru Sama. This project explores industrial techno, dystopian atmospheres and vinyl-only performances, merging cyber-ritual aesthetics with heavy mechanical tension and hypnotic club pressure. The Dj Kaeru Sama project exists as a parallel artistic entity, focused on deep sonic storytelling and immersive sound.
