In this episode, I open up about grief where I share the story of losing my family’s parakeet, Luna—an albino bird who’d been with us for about eight years and was there through so many chapters of my spiritual journey. In this intense and genuine episode, I talk about my experience in the leading up to the final hours of her passing. I walk through my inner conflict about missing work versus being there, and how my intuition nudged me to show up, hold her, and say goodbye in person. I describe what it was like to witness her final moments, the questions I wrestled with—“Could we have done more?”—and how that collided with a deeper knowing that it was the most loving choice available.
From there, I zoom out to the bigger picture: that Earth is a school, that our bodies and roles are temporary, and that what we really take with us is our learning, our growth, our self-mastery. I share and talk about how I feel that sometimes, the greatest act of love is letting someone go, and remembering that every soul is free, including the people and animals we care about the most. I close by reminding myself (and you) that our true home is in the universe, that the “kingdom of heaven” lives in our own hearts, and that no matter what life throws at us—the losses, the bittersweet moments—everything can be used to bring us closer to our guidance, closer to ourselves, and ultimately… back home...
