"Back To Audience"
Growing up, I was part of a Drama Group and I remember one of the things I was taught was when performing, You do not turn your back to the audience.
This is because, the audience is one of the two essential features of a live theatrical performance, along with the performer.
Actors will talk about "feeding off of" an audience's energy, as they laugh more, cry more, jump in their seat or respond vocally in a large, involved audience.
In a live Orchestra Performance, the Conductor has his back to the audience.
That in a way defiles the rules of live performance.
But in order for the conductor to put up a great performance, he/she will have to turn their back to the audience to focus on the Orchestra as they face the audience to perform.
