You stripped my world
when you left me girl
all of the joy in
it just vanished
when your love
was banished
by your choice
I could hear your voice
screaming cold goodbyes
as I watched your eyes
fill with bitter tears
cause we spent
so many years
celebrating what we had
till it went bad
and left both of us sad
And I swore I’d never

but I’ve been haunted
by the way back whens
and instead I’ve always
wanted you back again.
and then one day
I ran into you
on a crowded avenue
and your eyes they held
a glimpse of all the things
that we both missed
and then you hugged
me and you whispered
that you’d been so lonely
and you realized
I was your one and only.
After time had
cured your angst
so I kissed you
on the cheek
but then your
lips found mine
and we traveled
back in time
and all that
was no more
became defined
as what could
once again
be real for both of us
you could be mine
a second time
and what was worse
that made us
feel so poor
had suddenly
became so much
better than before
Better than before baby
Love can separate
but love can also cure
when after months of
being alone
you realized
you were unsure
beneath your angst
But hope still pure
and your dreams concurred
That we should be
Both back.in love
