BACKFENCE Unhinged

BACKFENCE Unhinged Ep 37: Travis Abels

Listen Later

Travis Abels takes us on an Irish journey to find his future-does he get there? Many wild roadblocks stand in his way!!!

Travis sucks at sleeping—but as a result, has some fun stories to tell. He lives in Portland, Oregon, where he performs, makes movie trailers, shows unreasonable enthusiasm for squirrels, and hosts The Tiniest Party - a monthly underground storytelling show.

Over the past few years, he's been a regular at The Moth GrandSLAMs and has worked on trailer campaigns for Dune, Bridgerton, and La La Land.

Currently, he's working on being a better friend and touring his one-person show, Things I Hide From Dad, about coming of age in his father's doomsday cult. Catch him at travisabels.com or on Instagram @travisjay.

BACKFENCE Unhinged is a unique and delightful twist on the storytelling podcast where hosts Andrew and Frayn invite a storyteller on to share an unhinged true story. Then comes the second unhinged part – they dig in and ask questions to get into the behind-the-scenes dirt —  finding intersections with some of their own personal anecdotes.

This episode was edited and produced by Julia Oppenheimer. With music created by musician and frontman for Lost Lander, Matt Sheehy. Frayn Masters is executive producer.
