A Queensland Coroner's Court has determined that 19-year-old Canadian backpacker Piper James died of drowning after being attacked by a dingo on K'gari (previously known as Fraser Island) in January. The court found Ms James drowned following the dingo attack, with suggestions she may have entered the water to escape the animals, though this has not been confirmed.
