Backup Steps to Get What You Want – The Way To Do It

Listen Later

Hello! What's up, everyone? You probably read the title of
the show and it's going to say something like “This is the way to do it” or I
don't know because I didn't write it yet.
So I am making this up as I go. So soon enough, I’m going to write the title
when I'm done podcasting.
And it's going to have to reflect the idea I had right before I started
recording, which I'm going to talk about here and it's how to get things done
as soon as you think of something.
Let's say you want to buy a car. You’re looking to buy the
Lambo of your dreams or even a bicycle, okay?
Let’s probably make it a bicycle. You want to buy a bicycle.
Now, that was the thought that you had: “I want to buy a bicycle.” Now, what do
you have to do in order to get that bicycle?
So I want you to go look at the end result is getting the bicycle. That's the
basically what you wanted. And we're not even going to go into reasons of why
you want this bicycle or this Ferrari or why you want something right?
That's always when you look at something in a holistic point, that's what you
want to see is why you want something. But we’re not getting into that today.
We're gonna look at the steps of how to get what you want, okay.
Assuming you know the why, why you want something then we’re going to look at
the steps.
In order to buy the bicycle, you would have to go to a store
and buy one.
So you are going to decide what store it is, you’re going to see how much this
bike costs.
And now, you’re gonna go back from there. You saw that the bike costs whatever
and you know where to get this bike.
Now you need to decide: do you have enough money to buy this bike? If you don't
have enough money to buy this bike, now you have to go back one more step.
What do you have to do in order to make enough money to buy this bike?
Now when you find that thing, you need to go back one step
from that and realize, “What do I need to do in order to do what I have to do
to make the money?”
For example, if you've decided that to make enough money to buy the bike, you
would have to start an online business.
Let's say you are starting a Shopify store or an Amazon selling account for
example. You would have to go back from there.
And now you decide, “Yes, so I'm gonna start selling on Amazon and that is
gonna make me enough money to buy the bike.
I’m going to need to make an x amount of dollars.”
And you go back from there. Now, what am I going to sell on Amazon in order to make that money? And then you’re going to research what you're going to sell, what products are you going to sell, how you're going to sell it. And basically, if you’re going to do wholesale, if you're going to private label a product, if you're just going into Walmart and you're gonna start buying the things that are in clearance and then you are going to mark them up and sell them online on eBay, on Amazon. That's retail arbitrage. If you're going to do online arbitrage. Basically, if you're gonna be doing research online trying to find the best deals online, buying that product and then selling it at a huge markup or the exact mark up on Amazon, on eBay, on Facebook Marketplace.
There’s a lot of people that buy things and sell them on
Facebook Marketplace.
And if you are anywhere in North America, you know by now that the Facebook Marketplace is huge. And if you, for example, are just trying to make enough money to buy that bicycle, let's say it's $1,000 bicycle and you have to generate $1,000 in the profit to buy that bike, the Facebook Marketplace is a good place to start because you're gonna buy something, mark it up there. More than likely you're gonna get a bunch of people that say, “please” that means “yes, I want to buy.” When in reality actually it doesn't.
When people please something on Facebook, it means “Look at me, I want attention. I want you to see that I am somewhat interested in this. I want my friends to see that I'm interested in this.
