Riddick is the third film in the Chronicles of Riddick universe attempting to go back to its root with the movie that started it all, Pitch Black. Vin Diesel is back as the bad-ass Richard B. Riddick being dumped on planet to fend for himself surrounded by things that go chomp-chomp-chomp in the night... while it's raining. We return Riddick to predator-mode as well as introduce some cannon-fodder for some hungry-hungry hippos (where hippos just stands for dangerous alien things).
