Hello everyone! Do we have a good one for you this week. On this episode Sean sits down and talks with Jake Mahar, better known on Instagram as @BadgesBows, because @BadgesandBows was already taken.
When his law enforcement career was unexpectedly cut short, Jake found himself needing to pivot.
Using his experience and lessons learned, he joined forces with his two close friends (one a SWAT sergeant, the other active duty SF) and has been training and educating law enforcement and military personnel for more than a decade now. Their work in Stress Inoculation Training & Tactics (SITT) has set new standards and protocols for the capabilities of our brothers and sisters who serve.
Jake is also the co-host of the Project Sapient podcast where they dive deep into the conversations around effective law enforcement and military situations we all know we need to have but are sometimes afraid to.
Besides his unquestioned love and commitment to his family, the only other thing that comes close to Jake's passion for law enforcement is his love of the the outdoors. These two passions merge on his @Badgesbows Instagram page. In 2023, Jake used his platform to start a fun archery competition for first responders and our military brothers and sisters. Seeing almost immediate success with the competition, Jake is bringing it back for 2024.
