그 가여운 소녀는 생각했습니다.

The poor girl thought,

나만 여기에 더이상 있을 수는 없어.

“I can no longer remain here.

나는 가서 내 형제들을 찾을 거야.

I will go and seek my brothers.”

그리고 밤이 찾아왔을 때, 그녀는 도망쳤고

And when night came, she ran away,

곧장 숲으로 들어갔습니다.

and went straight into the forest.

그녀는 온종일 밤동안 걸었습니다.

She walked the whole night long,

그리고 다음날에도 쉬지 않았고

and next day also without stopping,

그녀가 더이상 힘들어서 갈 수 없을 때 까지요.

until she could go no farther for weariness.

그래서 그녀는 숲속 오두막을 찾았고 그곳으로 들어갔습니다.

Then she saw a forest-hut, and went into it,
