A bunk bed tried to murder me in Florence. I debated if sniffing a book in the Imperial Library in Vienna was worth getting booted from Austria. An exotic dancer once gave me my dollar back with his teeth just to put his face in my cleavage. I was once, unknowingly, an assistant to a call girl. Who said writers don't lead interesting lives?
I'm a cross-genre writer, but no matter what the subject matter is, I say that I write fairytales. Fairytales aren't the absence of struggle, they're about persevering through the darkest night. They're about hope. Hell yeah, I write fairytales.
