This week, Zach and Elle talk Balto, a film that's sort of about the historic dog sled race from Nenana to Nome Alaska that spawned the Iditarod Dog Race. It's also about  an 80lb wolf-dog living unshot in a town full of humans. Talking Points: Little girls can lead dog sled teams, if there's a feral dog in your town you should probably shoot it, racism and sexism in animal movies, and Boris: A King Among Geese.

Every other week, grownups Zach and Elle look back at obscure, overlooked, and forgotten kids movies. Elle probably saw them as a child; Zach probably did not. Together, they get to the heart of what makes these films worth digging up or worth shoving to the back of your VHS cabinet.
