How are you all doing? I'm doing well; I've just added a fourth mix in four weeks, and I haven't burned out yet, so it feels great.

On another note, I realized I had gradually stopped making music, and the funny thing is, I figured out why: I hadn't been listening to any music at all during that time. That’s why my comeback feels a bit lighter—I’m finally getting back to normal after being "switched off" for so long.

In the meantime, I’m mostly playing Wardogs while I wait for WoW Forever (I refuse to pay €60 just to play a beta). I swear, some companies seem to think we just mint money out of thin air. It makes sense, I guess; since the money keeps rolling in for them, they lose touch with reality.

I see you all gradually checking out the Discord server more and more—it makes me really happy to see that.

Welcome back!

What a busy week I’ve had! Aside from preparing the mix—something I’m really enjoying, as creating a routine makes me feel good—I’ve also been organizing, cleaning up, and tidying the Discord server. It’s been a long time since I’ve really thrown myself into a project like this; it feels like I’ve got the drive to do things again.

The server is much cleaner and more visually appealing now. I also tweaked the show’s description to give it a more personal touch and clarified that this is now a weekly show. I promise not to leave it unfinished this time.

Hi everyone! I’m back—I know I disappeared for a while, and I apologize.

A few months ago, I hit a strange slump. I got so overwhelmed and down that I didn't want to do anything anymore. I kept asking myself, "Why keep doing this if everything ends up the same?" or "Is this really worth it?" I got stuck in a loop—letting everything fall apart and just going with the flow for a bit. Too many things aligned at once, and I simply couldn't handle it all.

In the end, I realized that you can't control everything. If you step back, look at the big picture, and fix things one by one, life doesn't have to be so bad. Stop stressing over things beyond your control and stop living in the past.

That’s why I’m here now. If you’re reading this, it means I’m fixing this part of my life. I’m back and stronger than ever. If you find yourself going through something similar, try tackling one thing at a time—it makes everything feel less overwhelming.

I'm back with another mix, and I wanted to be completely transparent with you. You might notice some advertising at the beginning and end of this episode, and there’s a reason for it.

I’ve been creating this show since 2018. As many of you know, I’ve faced several challenges with hosting providers in the past—including being banned from Anchor for no reason. I’ve finally found a host that works, but unlike before, this hobby now comes with significant out-of-pocket costs.

Years ago, record labels offered to buy this show. If I had accepted, I’d be set for life, but it came with strings attached: playing only what they wanted and losing my creative freedom. I chose to stay independent.

The advertising you hear now is what allows me to keep the show alive, pay for professional hosting, and improve the sound quality (which you’ll definitely notice in this mix). I promise: no ads in the middle of the music. They will only be at the start and the end. I’d rather do this than ask you directly for money; it’s my way of keeping the show sustainable while staying true to the music and the independent artists I support.

Hi everyone! How are you?

Sorry for being late (I think this is becoming a habit), I couldn't pay for the podcast hosting this month and until I got the money I couldn't upload anything new, which brings me to this question.

I've been offered the chance to monetise the podcast. As you know, there are several things you have to pay for to have a podcast, one of which is hosting. I've been given two options:

1) Make it ‘Premium’. What does Premium mean? It means that listeners (in this case, they would be called subscribers) pay €1 per month and receive the content a week in advance of free listeners. (I've ruled this out because I don't know your personal situations).

2) Put in advertising. Although I'm very much against advertising, they've given me the option of putting advertising at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the show (I think putting it at the beginning and in the middle is an absurd idea, I would put it at the end), but I'm still considering this option.

Why am I telling you this?

Simple, I want to know what you think, what you think about the idea and how I should implement it... Should I continue to be late due to non-payment and not worry about it? Should I make it Premium for those who pay? Or should I include advertising and turn it into a weekly show?
