Abisola, Idris and Stefan, young but wise beyond their years or so they'd like us to think, are back on the 7th episode.

On this episode, we discuss some of the hot topics over the last week. First on the playlist is Kanye West's latest of never-ending rants, this time around music record labels and fair deals for artists. Next up Netflix's wave making release "The Social Dilemma" leads us into a conversation around social media's data collection and how much of it we're not aware of including a new report about Instagram taking unsolicited pictures of users after certain interactions on the app *screams silently*. Finally, enter in the philosophers. Abisola and Idris share some of their wisdom, and Idris becomes our second entrant to #BTTB Matchmaking. Idris tells us his criteria for the perfect match including "sleepless nights" so if you make the cut, hit us up on our social media and our in house dating psychologists will be more than happy to attend to you ;)

With every bone in our body, we regrettably (regrets to the bone) didn't release an episode last week for technical reasons but on a positive note, we're back for our 6th episode!! We missed you and we sure hope you missed us too! The initial plan was to be collectively responsible for the lack of an episode last week but Abisola69 had to rat them out, so you all know who to talk to.

Today, we share the story of the late Barbara Tommey (R.I.P.) who's was murdered in cold blood by her husband after separating following an abusive marriage. This leads us to discuss our thoughts on what is needed for the world to be safe for women and our concluding topic, how much is too much of an age gap in a relationship?

A few weeks back, a new campaign against human rights abuses made waves in form a slightly familiar hashtag with familiar connotations to the original campaign. #ZimbabweanLivesMatter was born out of Zimbabwe as a result of a wave of human rights abuses that has seen a number of activists missing or in hiding for fear of repression from thier government.

Today, we got Ruvimbo M as our first ever guest to talk about this particularly important issue. Ruvimbo is a Zimbabwean and maintains close ties to her family who are based there, as such she isn't far from the effects of any issues back home. Ruvimbo holds Master of Arts in Political Science which gives her a wealth of knowledge at her disposal to see these issues in-depth beyond face value.

Man down! Man down!!

On this episode, we welcome Abisola back from her exciting trip west with Idris MIA due to technical difficulties. The excitement from Abisola's return was rather short-lived as she's looking to go back on a more permanent basis this time with the right "conditions". Here at Bants To The Bone, all we see is opportunity so we started our new arm "Bants To The Bone Matchmaking" with our first client in-house. 

The episode wouldn't be complete if we didn't discuss the packed week of new releases we just had so the gang dive in and give their thoughts on the new music out over the last two weeks before wrapping up with a few last notes.

Before we wrap up Stefan states his case after he finds out he's been blocked on twitter for (mis?)chatting on the TL and we discuss the reception to Megs statement over the past week.

Today, Idris and Stefan sit at the helm and hold fort while Abisola is out east basking in the sun (Abisola remain small enjoyment for us plsss).

Our first discussion today is in the job market since the start of the pandemic. We explore the impact in Canada in contrast to the motherland, Nigeria. Idris shares his experience job hunting back home after uni.

Last and definitely not the least, we discuss Twice as Tall by our one and only African Giant, Damini "Burna Boy" Ogulu.

Welcome to episode two. We hope you enjoyed listening to our first episode. 

On today's episode, Idris, Abisola and Stefan discuss our favourite sitcom "Nigeria". Recently on our favourite sitcom, the Minister of Education announced that several billions have been spent to feed school children this year even though schools have been shut down since March due to the pandemic. Somebody's eating good and we definitely don't think it's the school kids. 

Up next, we discuss 2020 and some of the most notable events so far (note: so far) before moving on to the story of Izu. Izu was a young Nigerian boy who took his life after being accused of sexual harassment. His sad passing led us to discuss the ways in which he was accused and, whether it could have been done differently.

On today's episode we had a contest; On the left we have the Ye-hive represented by Stefan and Idris, on the right (and maybe on the wrong side, we'll leave that decision to the listeners), we have Abisola for the Beyhive.

A series of jabs and not so subtle blows were dealt all through the episode with claims and disclaims of Kanye's genius and suggestions of Beyonce being overrated. All of this discussion came on the heels of Kanye's inaugural presidential campaign and his most recent of many twitter rants as well as, Beyonce's leaked "Black is King" video.

Nigerian kids: *Exhaled deeply*

Today Nigerian parents are under the microscope as a result of the misdoings of a colleague. One of the big talking points across social media last week was the assault on an 18-year-old lady by her dad because *wait for it* she joined a WhatsApp group. What's in the WhatsApp group to warrant this you ask? We're not sure or even in the slightest bit interested.
